Haircare Crash Course

Hey guys!
GTG will be featuring a crash course on the fundamentals of caring for hair.  I'll be touching base on the following basic elements:

2.  Cowashing

With this series, I want to be comprehensive enough for the newbie naturals, but also, succinct enough for the natural hair veterans; because a refresher never hurts, right?

Right!

  3. Hi! This was really helpful and seeing your hair so healthy, long, and beautiful is really inspiring for a recent natural like me! I'm currently rocking a 2-3 in. TWA, and I guess the hair type I identify with most is 4B/4C (more 4C). I was wondering what's your nightly routine and what you do in the morning after sleep for your hair? Mine gets a bit matted and flat and I've been trying to research what's the best thing to do...I've been rinsing it and putting a leave-in conditioner, but I still have plenty of shedding. Any advice?

    1. Hi Sasha! First off, my sincerest apologies for the late response, but thanks so much for stopping by :-)

Okay, when I had a TWA, my spray bottle moisturizer was my lover. Lol. I mixed in oil, water, and a VO5 conditioner, and I'd lightly spritz my hair w it every morning.

I detangled more frequently then, once every 10 days. My main trick of getting growth through this stage (apart from braids and twists) was to do wash n gos with gel.
