I came up with three uncomplicated styles to make up for not uploading last night.
The fun thing about these styles are that different looks can be created by manipulating only the front portion of hair.

The Technique
Hair was misted with water and oil, and then moisturized with Shea Moisture's Style Milk leave-in.
I halved the back of my hair, and created two giant cornrows.
Quick Style 1
The front of the hair was swept over to the left, and pinned. The more elevated the poof is, the better. So, if you are trying this out, you can encourage added volume by using a hair pick or your fingers to stir/frizz out this section; that way, the strands will separate, and hold their placement.
No defined parts? No problem. |
Quick Style 2
The front portion was smoothed down and secured with a pin.
Have you noticed yet, that I'm drawn to hair accessories?
Love 'em!
The front portion of hair was loosely twisted into a jumbo twist. The twist was rolled under itself and pinned. A scarf was tied over the twist puff to create a faux bang.
Nice one, you are making it look so easy!!!!
ReplyDeleteLol, yes o! They should be. When styles get complicated, I get discouraged.

ReplyDeletePractice makes perfect.
DeleteThe hardest part was coming up with the styles. The styles themselves each took under 10 mins to create.
