Weekend Hair

I spent my entire Friday in the ER.  There probably should be some extensive behind the scenes story befitting my medical rendezvous, but the abridged version is that I failed to heed my own advice.
On Thursday night, I thought that a nice reward for being such a well-behaved clean eater for weeks,  would be a trip to Wholefoods to grab up some irresistible carrot cake.
A simple treat, right?
Nah man, instead, I spent the entire night and into mid morning, the next day suffering.
Chai!
My poor belly!  My boyfriend, refusing to let me keep waiting for everything to subside, bundled me up, and dragged me to the ER.

Sigh.

For your consideration:
Weekend Quick Style
Side pony-tail with a flat twist swoop bang
Ecostyler Gel used to smooth the edges
Hemorrhagic Colitis- my diagnosis.
Serious stuff sha.

But, I feel much better now.  I think my body detoxes and flushes out impurities, whenever I consistently eat clean.  So, I've noticed that when I decide to "treat" myself with something bad for me sweet; my body has a low tolerance, and seems to reject it.

Does this ever happen to you?

  1. You do well representing our natural texture. I've shared your tips with my niece who wears a press & curl/flat iron. She's seeking a hair vacation this summer. Thanks and keep up the good work you do. BTW you are beautiful!

  2. Sorry about spending Friday at the ER...that must not have been funny sha! My body only responds in such a wacky way when i have avoided anything white in a long time; like white rice, pasta, flour, etc...if i leave my brown rice or pasta for their white counterpart..lawd, it's usually a world war 3 in my belly..lol

I will try to replicate the hair style to church on Sunday...Hopefully it comes out right...fingers crossed :)

    Girl, you are fine ;)
