Hi Guys!
I've been rocking loose twists hard for the last two weeks. They were spurred on by the
love that name!
She mentioned having done them before, and her's were just gorgeous, so I decided to give them a whirl.
Mine did not turn out to be as fat and juicy as hers, but I still am in love with them.

My hair is not usually this shiny. My texture actually gives off a dull sheen.
The flat twists were done on dry stretched (braid out) hair. I only used light water and shea butter to loosely do each one. It took four hours to complete about 60 of them, but I was excited and happy once they were done.
The were extremely soft and light weight! Whenever I revist this protective style, I will try to twist even chunkier sections, so that they will be even looser and fluffier in appearance.
The best thing about this style was the take-down process. Since the twists were looser than normal, the tendency for lone strands of my curly hair to interweave themselves into portions of the twists were drastically reduced. I think I will be redoing these again soon.
These twists always come out awesome. Check out Cipriana's of Urban Bush Babes, Miss Fizzy of LITK's version, Natmane of Deep Brown Kinks' twists and even Gina of Natural Belle is rocking them on shorter hair. Yours are gawjus! I did mine on wet hair, next time I'm going to try them on dry stretched out hair and see how they turn out. And you have to tell me what you're using on your edges! Is that the My Joie gel? Thanks for the shout out!

DeleteHow many ways can I say I'm totally jealous of your hair???? I'm going to cry. I've been natural for maybe 5 years, BC'd 3 times (mistakenly by scissor-happy stylists). My hair's nowhere near as long as yours, not even halfway.
