Under this crafty headtie (repurposed pashmina scarf), were freshly washed twists.  The last hairstyle I was able to try on stretched hair, was a seriously shellacked gelled, low bun.  In the moments when wash day looms near, but I'm unable to wear my hair out, I'll slick my hair into a bun of some sort.   Since I know I'll be shampooing soon, I can usually tolerate the absurd portions of gel I have to use to achieve a sleek finish.

As soon as I was able to, I finger detangled, deep conditioned and shampooed my hair.  Then  I put in twists.  They were still pretty wet (which prompted the headtie) so, as I'm contemplating what to rock next, I've been switching in and out of different types of head gear.  They're always within arms reach, for those moments when the next step is murky.
