On Stretched Hair (Threads)

Quick Hello!
geraldinethegreat.blogspot.com
Believe it or not, this was one of the styles that was done on my threaded and stretched hair last week.  I was recently in Chicago for a wedding, and I'd opted to try flat twists for a fly twist out.  Funnily, I discovered I had no idea how to do small flat twists, as I was doing them.  Despite all the detangling and stretching that I did with the threads, my hair was still  quite curly at the roots.  So, it was challenging achieving twists that were close to my scalp and smooth.
Ah!  But the twist out was definitely gorge!  I wasn't able to wear it for long, however, as I was mandated by the decrees of bridezilla-dom to stuff my beautiful results into a wretched sock bun.

I warmed up to it before the night's end.

My Mommy!!  Lol, isn't she adorbs?

Nevertheless, the absolute moment that my bridal duties were fulfilled, the hair pins were snatched
out and slid across the dresser, and this steel sock contraption, trashed-
 (like seriously, what is this?)

Once freed, my hair literally cascaded down and around my shoulders.
My boo and me!  Oh hey girl, hey!

A week or two later, I gave styling my now semi-stretched hair another shot.  I've been extremely light handed with product use since the first stretch, going days without remoisturizing.  I'm overly due for a serious deep conditioning.

The Technique
I lightly moisturized my hair with my Jojoba Monoi Hair Milk, and I sealed with the Jojoba Monoi Hair Oil.  The hair was sectioned off into two.  The back was loosely bunned, and the front "bang" was further split into two halves.  One portion was swept over the left and tucked and pinned.  The second portion was also swept over to the left, but I tugged the front tip out, a bit farther, and then secured with a pin.  That's it- really easy and super quick.

    1. Hey girly!

You can read more about threaded hair here

It's basically, wrapping thread around your hair to style or to stretch it.

I haven't blow dried my hair since last May- I don't really do it often.

I mostly style on stretched (braidout hair).
