Hey guys hey!
As promised, below I have snap shots of how well the curly fro held up throught out the week.
For holiday glimmer, brush a bit of Elf's Blush in Gotta Glow across the high planes of your face for pretty illumination. |
At the end of the first day's wear, I gingerly stuffed my hair into a satin bonnet.
The next morning, I fluffed the hair out, smoothed down my edges with a soft bristled brush, and quickly tied a silk scarf around my head, and into a bow.
No re-moisturizing was needed at all, because my hair still felt soft, and even felt less greasier than it did on Day 1.
*High five!*
Tip 1: If you attempt this style, and are experiencing parched hair; spritz water or re-apply your leave in, conservatively. Be cautious to not overly saturate your hair with moisturizing products, since they could cause your curls to swell, and become misshapen.
However, if undefined big hair is your aim, then re-moisturize to your heart's content!
The definition at the roots were almost gone in certain areas, but there were still oodles of curls retained at the ends.
I was able to glean a few more styles from the curly fro this week. That post will be up in a bit.
Love it to death Geri!
ReplyDeleteAww lol!! Thanks snookums! ^_^
DeleteThank you boo!
ReplyDeleteNOICE!
ReplyDeleteLol. Thanks!
DeleteYour hair looks amazing! You don't see a lot of black women in England with hair like yours. I've heard the water is softer in USA than in UKan which effects our hair!
ReplyDeleteThank you sis!
DeleteActually, I know a lot of states in the US have hard water too. I'm on the East Coast, and I know the water is moderately hard.
(Im always moisturizing or oiling my hair, so the only time I notice the effects of hard water, is whenever I shampoo, and how much I have to use to get a good lather.)
I know for sure, that when I was in Naija last, my hair was SO soft. It was ridiculous. Imagine the weather had a lot to do with that.
Thanks dear! I used cold rods and lightly separated them out.
ReplyDeleteStart at Day 1 of the Geri's curls series. :-)
