Curl for Days 3 and 4!

Still working it out folks!
4c hair, geraldinethegreat.blogspot.com Quick sidebar:  I've been receiving scads of comments about the supposed current void of visible highly textured (read 4b and 4c) bloggers/vloggers.  There was a spell within the modern resurgence of natural hair, circa 2009-2011, when every other hairboard thread or article I glanced across, seemed to lament their absence.
It was quite true.  There was a marked online vacuum in showcasing enough naturals who touted or illustrated the resplendent nature of our hair.
Whatever the reasons were (or are) for the under- representation, I think that tides are turning in our favor.  I'm quite the idealist though, so I trend towards positive interpretations.
But, we ARE out here.  There might even be more of us than not, frankly.  I will soon be compiling a list of other women, who are demonstrating the versatility and ease of caring for the curliest of textures.  Hopefully, they will also serve to inspire and motivate, as we move into the next phase of total and complete natural hair world domination!  *laughs maniacally*

Forging onwards!

At the start of day 3, the curls were still sitting pretty.  I'd tired of the hair-in-the-face look, so I created two giant twists on either sides of my head, and pinned them together.

By the end of the day, my hair finally started to succumb to frizz, so I rummaged around in my closet, and whipped out my trusty headband to salvage the rest of the curls for the next day.

For kicks, here's the same style done on a twist out- year 3!
My hair still felt tolerably soft, but since curl retention was no longer my objective, I went ahead and moisturized with water and avocado oil, and I sealed with a modest amount of whipped shea butter.

Day 5 hair was pretty simple.  It'll be up next.
