Hello friends- Old and New!
Two weeks late, but still on time, no?
Lol.
My pipu, Happy New Year! Make una enjoy 2013 wella wella!
Did you make any resolutions? How well are you sticking to them, so far?
I actually made quite a few this year, and I even ambitiously drew up a vision board! I know right??
My spirits are high for 2013. Apprehensive, but optimistic, like the feeling you have on the first day of class, or when you start a new job. Waves of anxiety, doubt, and even fear, might wash over you, but you're ultimately, still hella eager to get the show on the road.
That's me.
I'm eager to embrace whatever the universe has in store this year.
Apart from some personal goals- finishing school and buying a new car- I have goals for the blog as well. A few of many include doing:
More makeup tutorials! More prose! More video tutorials! More DIY hair recipes! More food posts! More exercise and healthy living posts! More giveaways! More Out and About/OOTD posts! More guest features!
There are some even loftier ones, but I figure the aforementioned will keep me busy for a while.
So, to catch up with you guys, my Cashmere Curls twist out lasted roughly close to two weeks (I loosely bunned my hair for the majority of the last week). I also revisited an old favorite hairstyle.
I always feel very pin-upy when I wear my hair this way.

The Hair
1 week old flat twist out
The Players
The Technique
My hair was still pretty moisturized from the Cashmere Curls Leave in, but I added sparing amounts mixed in with the Jojoba Monoi Hair oil. My hair was sectioned off into two with the frontal portion purposefully smaller (1/3) than the back (2/3).
I gathered the front section and began rolling it upwards and into itself, heading backwards to my forehead. The rolled section was also slanted towards my left, then pinned.
As usual, I had to do quite a bit of tucking and pinning before I could get a perfectly snug hold, but I got it.
Et voila!
I can see totally see this style on naturals with shorter hair lengths.
What say you?
